Increasing the success level of Wisdom or valour tests

Hello,
Is there any additional fan rules that could be used to increase the success level of a Valour or Wisdom test?
Corruption and Fear tests are the most commem examples of such tests.
I am asking about Virtues or Traits that could do so.
Do you think it is a valid rule to add?
My concern here is that are some powerful adversaries that require a great success to resist its fear, corruption or spell atack and it makes them extremely dangerous.

I'm hesitant to suggest any such solutions, because the whole point of such foes is that they are extraordinarily dangerous to face.
Note also that both failures are relatively easy to account for and "fix".
Failing a Fear test means that you become Daunted. You can't spend Hope to add Attribute Bonuses. But you can spend Hope to do other things, so focus on getting abilities and magical weaponry that can make use of those 'spare' Hope points. Also, simply raising skills works too.
Failing a Corruption test means that your temporary Shadow goes up, and maybe you become Miserable. Temporary Shadow going up is relatively easy to control... just have a high Song or Craft skill and spend lots of Fellowship Phases in places that allow you to roll twice. If you become Miserable, stop rolling the dice! Become the king/queen of invoking Traits for automatic success. Also, managing Hope vs. Shadow helps too.
That said, I might allow some way for the heroes to negate those special effects. But they'd have to work at it... they'd need to actually do research on their foe and find their weaknesses. Once they've put Undertakings/Treasure into it, then there's a mechanical balance to actually reducing the power of the foe. They had to spend something to get something, in other words.

.
Funny, I always read it as Heroes cannot spend any Hope points when Daunted.
I'll have to read the paragraph when I get home...

The same here!
That is very interesting: King's Blade, for example, keeps its usefulness even if Daunted.
Deadly Archery, on the other hand, remains as useless as ever...
When you spend a point of Hope to invoke an Attribute
bonus on a ranged attack roll using a bow, you receive an
additional bonus equal to your basic Heart score.

Huh. I could be wrong; reading the revised rules it seems like it is no Hope spends at all. Sorry!

Uuuuuhhh... I think T.S. Luikart is already counting your stay here as "second chance".

I confess that I'm a bit confused; but no worries if it's a joke that has just sailed past me. If I've been inadvertently rude, I very much apologize.
In any case, I was definitely wrong about the Daunted rules but I do think the larger point stands that such things can be dealt with.

It was a joke, no worries. You, of all the people here, are probably the most un-rude guy I've met. And yes, your initial point stands.
