I had just noticed that too. I do love the look of the dice and will definitely be getting some.

I did notice that, Hermes. The language in the book suggests the numbers themselves are either solid or outline, and that's how the dice have been presented (1,2,3 are outlined. 4,5,6 are solid). Just pointing out/questioning this change with the deluxe dice. It's not a big deal. The dice are gorgeous and I expect to buy a bunch of them for my group.

I suspect that a combination of design considerations and clarity have made Q-Workshop and C7 choose this dice design over one matching more closely the original design and the wording in the rules. I suspect that if these regarded as an upgrade to the originals then more experienced gamers are likely to pick them up compared to the ones with solid and open numbers. It's only if they completely replace the original designs might there be any confusion and a new printing on the core rules with a slight change to the wording would fix that.

Yeah, I doubt it would be a major issue. In fact, I can't really imagine that it would cause confusion at a game table. It would be pretty easy to include a note with the dice indicating the differing style but the the rule remained the same (1, 2 & 3 don't count when Weary).

The is yet another example of how C7 pays attention to every detail, which is what makes the whole such a delightful experience.

I love them! I like how the background is different for 1-3 vs 4-5 instead of the number! ETA?

Those are beautiful! Very nice color and design. I imagine that multiple color options would be easy enough too. My question is, are these going to eventually replace the dice sets offered now? As fancy as these new one's are, I rather like the simplicity of the originals. Mind you, I already have 6 sets and I don't think they will ever deteriorate, but if I ever wanted to order more...
