I'm finding this discussion fascinating. I've never yet had a Ranger or High Elf in my game, but I do have concerns with the limitations imposed on them. So as not to go too far offtopic, or into house rule discussions, I've started a thread in the House Rules forum: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=6556
