I guess you could come up with some mechanical effects, but in our game the rich hero already have the silver lamp if light is needed and the fine clothes required for court.
What I'm saying is that it could become confusing if a hero is so wealthy that she can buy single rooms for every member of the party every day for every adventure phase, always rent boats, packhorses and such. But NOT pay for a bird in a cage or traps on sale from a trader in the Company of the Wain.
What I'm really saying is that more wealth than what a Rich person is travelling with is represented by treasure.
Of course just my opinion :geek:

I did this, can't remember why, purely as an exercise in game design I suppose; creating two new Standards of Living:

5 Opulent
6 Resplendent
Opulent and Resplendent
These Standards of Living are reserved for the greatest lords and kings. Their wealth is obtained from many avenues and resources, shaping and influencing whole nations and the lands beyond such borders. Such Standards of Living cannot be obtained through consumption of wealth alone and are (usually) beyond the scope of player characters within any TOR campaign.
