#firstworldproblems, I know.
We're going to need a wider shelf! :)

I can appreciate that problem. Having considered this the best option would be to, assuming you can, reorganise your shelf so that TOR was at one end, 5e the other, and then put AiME products in the middle. That would be perfect.

No need to thank me. You're welcome.

One long shelf. All your games arranged such that, like a rainbow, the difference between any two adjacent books is minimal. An "RPG Spectrum".

Go.

Heavens to murgatroyd, ye know not what you are suggesting!!! If I did that then I'd need a shelf around 100 feet long! Crazy man.

Maybe on the wall of a circular room.

100? Yeah, sounds about right. 20 years ago I had 60 linear feet... and it's grown since.

I don't know if you share the same feelings as me but I do look at my hardcopy RPG collection and think mostly it's just a big waste of money. I can't bring myself to part with it but I just have too much to the point where I think I suffer from 'option paralysis'; because I have so many different games, even in the same genre, I don't know what to run and I'm scared (perhaps too strong a word) of running one in case its not as good as another option! Crazy.

In the early 90's I thought I was done with gaming and gave my entire collection to an FLGS (thinking that they could probably benefit from selling it off). I lost some gems...MERP stuff, TSR modules, Traveler...a bunch of things. I wish I could get it all back.

I've repurchased stuff thinking that so I suppose it explains my nervousness in getting rid of it and I also don't really need to because room isn't an issue. It's more that I think I'd be creative and get more enjoyment with less but I just can't bring myself to part with it. I'm definitely a hoarder and a completist.

What I'd love to do is give some of it to some local kids just starting out on their role-playing hobby adventures - I think I'd get pleasure knowing they were using it to explore the hobby; I just don't know any that do.
