Page 218 of the core rule book lists the base Endurance values of Loremaster characters by culture or race. Various Loremaster characters presented in the supplements often ignore these numbers and use an arbitrary Endurance value. Sometimes the author adds the character's Attribute level even though the character isn't a fighter. I'm curious if the authors had any base numbers in mind beyond the ones given on the table.

Riders of Rohan seem to have a base of 14, though nearly every character is a fighter-type. Men of Bree appear to be based on 12. Based on very little evidence, Wild Hobbits appear to be based on 10, just like Shire Hobbits. I can't figure out Dunlendings or Rangers at all; their values appear to be all over the scale.

Anyone have a more comprehensive list?

Why do we get the Endurance and Weapon skill, but not a Parry and Armour rating?

The weapon can be added for flavour, but the Endurance? What do we need it for if those NPCs aren't designed to fight? And if they are, why aren't they fully defined?

Some Loremaster characters don't have an Endurance score listed, and these tend to be non-fighters. I wonder if this was done on purpose.

A Parry score need not be listed, as it will typically be equal to the Attribute level, provided the character is a fighter. What kind of armor, shield, and headgear a Loremaster character might wear can probably be guessed most of the time, and Encumbrance doesn't apply to Loremaster characters, so just give them whatever makes sense and look up their Protection scores and Parry bonuses when you need to.

Many Loremaster characters might fight on the side of the player-heroes, but might not, so there's no point wasting a lot of layout space and effort writing them up as adversaries. I appreciate the compact format of non-adversary characters, which appears to follow the advice in the Loremaster chapter of the rule book, but which seems very inconsistent about it.
