Gen Con is over, but it was crazy awesome. I met (or saw again) a lot of folks... Wbweather, barefoottourguide, shipwreck, mirkwoodfalcon, rapdup, and others that I'm surely forgetting. Hanging out and playing games with y'all was the best!

A couple of my Gen Con friends. Note that someone really went all the way with her table tent.
Well that didn't work... have to fix later.

Gencon was great. Awesome to meet every one at C7 and folks from the forum. Great father/son trip. We even got to play in Zed's game.

Did any of you attend the C7 seminar? Any TOR or AME news you can share? Anyone look through the AME book? Anything to share for that?

I was... otherwise engaged.
In TOR news, there was a preview copy of Journeys and Maps there and the printed maps are absolutely gorgeous. The double-sided layout is very clever, so that you could, for example, go from Khâzad-dûm to Minas Tirith and plot the whole Journey with ease. I told Jon that I was going to need a bigger table.
It won't be news to folks here, but lots of people (I think) were surprised by how useful the booklet is; I anticipate a lot of use once it gets into the wild, which won't be too much longer.
The One Ring itself was very popular and I'm sure that any fears we had about it being eclipsed by AiMe will not come to pass. I talked to quite a few people who had just recently became aware of the game and were intrigued by the built-for-the-setting system and the extensive support for the line. And, of course, there's a lot of awesome setting information and artwork contained within that is relevant no matter what system you're using.
I do have some new dice to take pictures of, but that will have to wait until I get home.

Great to see Zed and WB and the others!
I also got some zazzy dice and spent a little time talking to Jon and Ken. I was most impressed by AIME - it's a gorgeous book. It also had some information on cultures we will see in TOR very soon, which was exciting!

Speaking of fancy dice...
Forgive the quality... it's a zoom-up of this picture:
Which shows y'all what I got at Gen Con (well, the 12th Doctor rulebook I got just before Gen Con from my FLGS).
I handed out the Q-Workshop dice as bonus dice whenever I ran The One Ring, just to be able to show them off to everyone.

Good to see the fellows I ran into at GenCon on Saturday, namely zedturtle and Moria Firefly. It was a very fun time. Didn't have time to sit in on any games of One Ring, which was unfortunate, but I couldn't resist picking up those lovely Q-Workshop dice either. (I also may have purchased a pitcher of dice from Chessex the same day; basically all I brought back home with me were dice.
)
I'll also echo that AiME is looking fantastic. Got to speak with Jon a little bit at the seminar and it was great to hear their goals with the product. I have high hopes that it will drive interest in Middle-earth gaming to new highs.

Would be lovely to all get together... I'd really like to meet folks from on these boards; C7 Middle-earth forum, the last homely house east of ENWorld.

Can't read this thread without being sad that I wasn't there this year. With all the transitions in my life and the timing, I just couldn't make it. I already looked up the dates for next year and God willing, I am going to do my dead level best to be there. Working the C7 booth doing demos, hanging out with the C7 crew, meeting people from the forum, and running games of The One Ring really amounts to an awesome 5 days in Indianapolis. This is the best community of gamers!
