Survival rate in TOR
Re: Survival rate in TOR
In my games Defensive stances are the norm. That means that they are not hit much by their normal opponents, that do not roll that many dice, and when they do, they can shrug it off. Not much armor around, but they still survive in general...

Yeah stay tuned for the update on this. In a single session we may have just doubled the total number of known TOR fatalities since the game was first published.zedturtle wrote:Well, there's a decent chance that I just killed four heroes in the Beornsvager game. Huh.

Nope. Just Ettins, and then a Great Orc hidden by magical darkness. But a couple of heroes decided they wanted to talk to a dragon that was nearby instead of fighting their way into the tower. So that had a big impact on the fight.Corvo wrote:Snow Trolls again?Glorelendil wrote:Yeah stay tuned for the update on this. By the way: Snow Trolls, Ettins, Great Orc... They all have Great Size and Favored Armour. A killer combo.

She really is. I can just imagine her starting a riot in the afterlife.Damian May wrote:Gals gonna be so p*ssed she was killed by a feckin' orc.

Re: Survival rate in TOR
Update: Zed gave the 4 of us a chance to survive, based off a single Feat die roll.
3 out of 4 rolled Eye of Sauron.
EDIT: oh my bad they were all 1's. It's an online dice roller and I thought we still had to subtract 1. Too bad, really.

So do the 1s still mean death? Has zed pulled off a near-TPK?
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: Survival rate in TOR
3 of the 4 PCs in the fight are dead, but there are 3 other companions (who were off freeing a dragon), so the total is 3/7 technically. The one who survived is "broken" (has to select some penalties), but can choose to bestow the survival on one of the other three.Majestic wrote:So do the 1s still mean death?
