Evaluating the Outcome of an Encounter

Post by mica » Mon Aug 15, 2016 10:26 am

I have only just noticed the first column title of the table on page 189:
Average Successful Rolls
Should this read:
Total Successful Rolls
or am I missing something?
Is this supposed to be the average of successful rolls per character? If so, the paragraphs do not support this and it would require a lot of skill checks (something similar was suggested in Tales of Wilderland for the encounter with Irime).

I believe it is rather an acknowledgement that, depending on the situation, the LM can adjust the number of successes. Think average as 'usual', not in the mathematical sense.
