Hi all,
Just had a quick question regards the artefacts in this game. My ranger picked up the Heirloom of Lost Arnor gift.
It's a ring. But I could use clarification about the mechanics behind it - particularly this part:
-> ''bonus is equal to the hero’s Wisdom score.'' <-
My wisdom is 2. Does that mean I get a flat numer of 2 to the roll ? Or does it mean I get two extra dices to the roll?
I reckon it's option one since the second one would get really powerful in time but I figured I would ask - thanks in advance
Art.
How Wondrous Artefacts Work?
Re: How Wondrous Artefacts Work?
You are right: option n.1
Re: How Wondrous Artefacts Work?
And although the rules don't explicitly say so (unless I missed it) the bonus is equal to the user's current Wisdom, so when the character's Wisdom increases, the bonus will increase with it. So at a Wisdom of 4 or 5, the bonus will be really useful!Corvo wrote:You are right: option n.1

Yup, when your Wisdom goes up, so does the bonus. Now at Wisdom 4 or 5 you will get to add 4 or 5 to the appropriate common skill. As to if it will be really useful or not will depend on the skill, circumstances, and how you develop you character. If you have a high skill rating, the bonus might become less useful. If you have a 5 skill rating, and rolling 5 dice, you probably won't need the Wisdom bonus that much.

Hello all, I am sorry to be introducing myself here on an inappropriate thread. I could not find one. My first post.

Welcome, Carlhartley!
Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
