... And a very ill advised trip into gamebook territory which cost them a fortune and didn't sell. I think that's what actually put the final nail into the coffin.

While getting more quality product is always nice, don't forget that good role-playing games are about using your own imagination, not following a script someone else wrote. Go out and make up some stuff!
