Wild Hobbits
I was wondering if the Wild Hobbits presented in Heart of the Wild will ever get a revamp. The thing with them not having any Cultural Rewards makes them a subpar and worse, a somewhat option for players and I'd like to see them become a more attractive pick.

Re: Wild Hobbits
If spears fell within the skill-set of the Wild Hobbits then I would have suggested that the recovered heads of Númenórean war-arrows could be re-purposed into spearheads for short fishing spears. Perhaps that could work in AiMe.Optional Cultural Reward - Wild Hobbits of the Anduin: Blade of the River-folk
Occasionally Wild Hobbits on the fringes of the Gladden Fields will discover bits of weapons, armour and equipment dating from the beginning of the Third Age. Sometimes that would include long knives forged in Westernesse, barely touched by rust or age. Such a blade can be wielded by a Wild Hobbit as a Short Sword.
A successful Piercing Blow from such a weapon to an evil creature or servant of the Enemy will deal an additional +4 Injury. The blade is considered to be Enchanted in regards to Undead opponents.

Optional Culture Reward - Wild Hobbits of the Anduin: Small-shield of Westernesse
Wild Hobbits on the fringes of the Gladden Fields will sometimes come across weapons and gear from long-dead soldiers of Gondor. This ancient equipment might be surprisingly well-preserved. perhaps artefacts from Númenor across the sea. Such is the case with some Bucklers once wielded by archers and spearmen that a Wild Hobbit can use as a normal Shield.
Such a Shield grants a Wild Hobbit an additional Parry bonus of +2 against melee attacks from larger-sized opponents.

Re: Wild Hobbits
This makes me very happy, since flavorwise the Wild Hobbits are great.
Re: Wild Hobbits
I don't infere from the publishing info that the Wild Hobbits will now have their own Rewards. They might simply be collected in the AC for easiness when creating characters, and still hold the original Rewards limitation.
On the other hand, a Wild Hobbit with the general Rewards (Fell, Reinforced, etc) would do just fine in a game. Cultural Rewards add flavour, of course, but some of them aren't really better than the general ones.

I'm also curious how to make a "wild hobbits" more interesting storywise. There not very attractive from a rule point of view, but what can a stories can we tell about them? That's for me the real question...
