Perhaps it's a mechanic that lets you add an additional dice to a roll if you have one of the new Masteries.

The description states...
Five new playable cultures...

1. Dwarves of the Blue Mountains
2. Elves of Lorien
3. Men of Bree
4. Men of Minas Tirith

All other cultures mentioned have previously been released in the supplements Erebor, Rivendell, Horse-lords of Rohan and Heart of the Wild. Is this a typo or is there another culture that was missed?

Thanks!
You missed the Wayward Elves, I think.
The Wayward Elves, like the Wild Hobbits, are taken from The Heart of the Wild. I think that the copy might date from before the release of Horse-lords of Rohan and was not updated.

Ah, must be a typo, then.

Or maybe there's something you don't know. Maybe. I couldn't say.

I think I get to tick Tease skill. Again. Oh yeah. Number one at teasing.

Actually, I don't need to be too much of a tease: sure it is arguable how wholly new some of the five are - sure there were snippets in previous supplements for a couple of them. But there's a lot more in the Companion. Equally on the other side, there are some small things we've left in supplements and not collected, just because we didn't want to completely mine out every last thing.

Do you happen to have a time travel device so it can be the end of November?

Wayward Elves and Wild hobbits of the Vales of Anduin are both referred to in The Heart of the Wild (pgs 78 and 52 respectively), but neither are detailed as playable cultures. So the five new PLAYABLE CULTURES are indeed
Elves of Lorien
Men of Minas Tirith
Dwarves of the Blue mountains
Wayward Elves and
Wild Hobbits
:o)

I think he has this master dice in Tease skill for sure.
Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.
