Not all who wander are lost. I still hold out hope that we will see this material in some form or other. C& hold their cards close to vest concerning what they have planned.
I agree: don't lose hope. They are pretty tight lipped about their projects: Erebor, for instance, was pretty surprising.
The Errantries of the King are an interesting subject, while the War of of the Ring is practically mandatory

Errantries of the King would probably have featured his tenures under Thengel and Ecthelion. As we are getting Oaths of the Riddermark at some point, I would suggest that part of the Errantries stuff is in it. Wouldn't surprise me at all if some of the adventures feature an enigmatic stranger named Thorongil.

Likewise, I imagine that (hopefully) upcoming adventures and background on Gondor will feature some of his activities in that theatre as well. Burning the Corsair fleet at Umbar being a huge possibility.

Apart from the Hunt for Gollum, that's more or less the lot isn't it?

Well, the Hunt for Gollum took place well after what Tolkien set aside as Aragorn's period of 'great journeys and errantries". We don't know much about his first foray into Moria, though, even when it took place. Gandalf seems to have had no part in it; his own exploration of Moria took place before he learned that the dying Dwarf he encountered in the dungeons of Dol Guldur was Thrain.

As the Hunt for Gollum is abortive and takes about takes about nine years according to the ToY, it would probably be a good framing device for a Campaign - the Companions helping Aragorn and Gandalf out in various regions of Middle-Earth. As it doesn't happen until TA 3009, I thought it a good excuse to start bringing back some old player characters who might still be alive and adventurable.
