After 1st session 3 years ago I adopted a small fix to the AP problem.
After each adventure the players adds up all APs and divide them between the players that partcipated in the adventure.
The benefit is that the group is working together and everyone is happy when one player is successful.
Another benefit is that players stopped trying to roll skills where they were missing APs . Some encounters were actually messed up by players with low skills trying to succeed to get an AP. This has not happend since the change.
All the players are eqally rewarded both the talkers and the shy ones!
Everyone is happy and they have great team spirit!
