@Ed print to letter paper through a PDF printer to see if that fixes the issue then print the pdf using the scaling option of Fit to Page in the PDF reader app if you need to print to A4.

Well this depends on what browser do you use. On Firefox you can set what to print and the zoom in the options, take a look here.edwardp wrote:Could you outline the steps you took to correct this?Woodclaw wrote:Hi Azrapse.
I just wanted to tell you that I fixed the printing issue I reported the other day. Apparently the issue was because of my printer configuration (someone changed the default zoom setting or something like that, I just resetted the whole thing), not because of the the site.
I too am trying to print, but it prints over 4 pages, 2 of which are mostly blank.

Hi, everyone.
I'm deeply reworking the sheet and I will definitely try to make it fit better for printing.

This is what I managed to come up with on IE 11.0:
I installed a program called CutePDF, which will "print" to a PDF file.
On the advanced options of the Print Preferences, I set the scaling to 95%.
That seemed to set the paging correctly.
Thanks all!

Thanks azrapse! Your site continues to be an invaluable resource for this game. My players use it every time we play. For the last game, a couple of them forgot their laptops and we very easily printed their character sheets (but it did take some creative scaling to get them to print right). So, I appreciate whatever you can do to help with this issue.azrapse wrote:Hi, everyone.

I would like to gather some opinions, now that I'm rewriting the whole program. And you are the right people to listen to. ![Smile :)](images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Currently, the version you all can access of "online sheet" tries to mimic Mr. Nepitello's revised version of the official sheet.
However, that isn't necessarily the best layout for the online use, or the printed use.
Would you suggest a different layout for the online use, and/or for the printed version?
Or is the similarity between the official sheet and the online one a good advantage of it?
Would there be any interest on some helper gadgets similar to the dice roller, but for other systems like travelling, direct skill rolls, etc?

I've tried to download the revised character sheet, but it appears to be offline. Does anyone have a working link?azrapse wrote:I would like to gather some opinions, now that I'm rewriting the whole program. And you are the right people to listen to.

I think the current layout works well because it looks like the one in the book. Players can get confused if the version in the rules doesn't look the same as the sheet generated and complain a lot about not being able to find things. I've had some issues with players misunderstanding the Travel fatigue circles for example.azrapse wrote:I would like to gather some opinions, now that I'm rewriting the whole program. Now if you are running you game solely on-line then it makes sense to have a different layout for the different medium. You might want to liase with Elfcrusher and Heilemann (sp) as they are doing something with character sheets in Roll20 which seems to be the VTT of choice for many TOR games.
As to gadgets I suppose it depends on how you are running the game game on-line. I use Roll20 as their macros work well for me. If you are running with Hangouts or over Skype then a selection of gadgets/die rolling widgets would no doubt be helpful.

Speaking as an absolute newbie, I agree with this. The closer to the official character sheet the better. Or, if it is not too tedious, have a way to convert your sheet to look like the official one.Hermes Serpent wrote:I think the current layout works well because it looks like the one in the book. Thank you for your hard work on this! Again, as a newbie this site has been vital to helping me understand the game.

Maybe stick with the original or revised layout for the generation bit and have a same-as the book, same-as revised and on-line/VTT gaming friendly output options.
