I've been rooting for this for a few years now, but I don't think many others take the idea seriously.

If not as a Heroic Culture, we still should have some write up on the Grey Havens as a potential Sanctuary with Círdan as a possible Patron, especially now that we have rules for sea-voyages. Other remote possibilities:

- Dwarves of Rhûn
- Wood-elves of the East
- Southrons of Far Harad (again, if we can have Dunlendings then why not? On the other hand, they could just be a variant of Haradrim)
- Black Numenóreans
- Corsairs of Umbar

Of course, any Mannish Cultures that are in servitude to the Enemy are inherently problematic. One thing I have to say about MERP, it gave an absurd selection of options for player races and cultures (including hostile ones).

I've been homebrewing a playable Druedain Culture fo a while now, but it's tricky. Not an overabundance of information available.

I figure them out as the Wayward Elves or the Wild Hobbits of the Anduin: not playable cultures, than would only be used as LM characters. In fact, in my games the Wild Hobbits don't even exist. I consider them extint or gone.

But I wouldn't mind if the Woses were fully depicted in some supplement: Survivors of the Wild - Lossoth, Woses and Haradrim of Near Harad.

Bit odd that the Woodmen of Mountain Hall aren't in the Adventurer's Companion. Am I right in thinking they're not detailed anywhere except Heart of the Wild?

As for Woses, personally I'm happy for them to not be a player culture, given how totally isolated they seem to be from the other peoples of Middle-Earth -- the Rohirrim considered them beasts and hunted them! Though I suppose if people want to play them, there's no harm in giving the option. Not sure I'd allow it in my game, though.

Thanks. That seems like a strange omission; I wonder if there was a reason for it, or was it just an oversight.

Like the Hobbits of Bree-land, perhaps the Woodmen of Mountain Hall just weren't seen as distinctive enough to get their own listing.

Relevant quote from Jon, regard to the cultures list:
Actually, I don't need to be too much of a tease: sure it is arguable how wholly new some of the five are - sure there were snippets in previous supplements for a couple of them. But there's a lot more in the Companion. Equally on the other side, there are some small things we've left in supplements and not collected, just because we didn't want to completely mine out every last thing.

New Culture ?

What about :
1. RiverFolk (called "Eafolk" in french)
2. "Leofide" in french (maybe "Leofid" in english) : something like Riders of Rohan subculture.
3. Men of Dorwinion

Those choices could be interested to play :)

(sorry for my english : as you noticed I am french and I am not fluent)
