Colour Blindness and the loremasters maps
Is it just me (I'm red/green colour-blind) or do others struggle with the colour coding on the loremaster's maps? I have huge difficulty trying to work out which areas are moderate, hard, severe and daunting - green and brown are difficult to differentiate for us red/green colour blind folks!! Is there a list anywhere which states in writing the nature of each region.....it would really help me and maybe others with the affliction.

Oh no! Never thought about that. If you let me know what colour would be better as a replacement for, say, the brown (or a list of replacements), I could probably re-colour them for you and PM you the resulting maps?
Re: Colour Blindness and the loremasters maps
Here's Glorelendil's Journey Calculator, first version. You could plot Journeys out that way and then look at the listing for the relevant areas. Just don't pay any attention to the Corruption information... you'll drive your players insane if you do.
PLEASE NOTE that due to not wanting to be passing copyrighted files around the internet without permission, you have to supply your own LM maps in JPEG format. Shouldn't be very hard, but let us know if you need more detailed help on that step.

No, it's not just you. I also have a huge problem telling the difference between different shades that are similar, especially greens/browns/reds. I usually have to just ask one of my players what the color is supposed to beGilrohir Arncelevon wrote:Is it just me (I'm red/green colour-blind) or do others struggle with the colour coding on the loremaster's maps? It's a crazy busy time for us right now, but I wanted to swing by this thread and say this is a very good point, and one I'd like to see us address, at least in PDF.

Hi Jon
I really appreciate that, as others have noted before, its that personal touch which makes C7 a "different kind of games publisher". As you say, its probably insane in your office right now, but something in the new year would be great. I certainly appreciate the aesthetics of the maps as drawn, the browns and greens are really "in character", but for the 4.5% of the population with this unfortunate "disability" an alternative version would be great.
Merry Xmas and a happy new year to everyone at C7, 2016 has been a fab year, thanks for all your efforts!!
