I think, rather than an exhaustive (and exhausting) list of the rules, the best way to learn them is just to get stuck in. Set yourself a goal of running a teaching game, and make sure your players understand that you're all in it together. Then pick a starting adventure (The Marsh Bell, Don't Leave the Path, The Wizard's Man, Nightmares of Angmar, Theft of the Moon, or something else) and go to town.
