All excellent books which, I'm sure, will not be confiscated when WFRP 4e comes out. Nor were they invalidated with the arrival of 3e... in fact, they probably gained valueGrands-Pas wrote:Damn (but it's still a good news), I've just paid a bunch of money for used WFRP 2E Core, OW Bestieray, Realms of Magic 2E and City of Chaos/Power Behind the Throne.

Of course, but knowing how well C7 usually handles the theme/subject of its games, I might not have had a need of the 2E books once the 4th edition comes out.HorusZA wrote:All excellent books which, I'm sure, will not be confiscated when WFRP 4e comes out. As long as it'a not set in AoS I would be interested. The whole Ground Marines is just rubbish.
It could maybe interesting if set in End Times, but tbh this whole everyone is a god, immortal eternal, and the Legendary evil of the Dark Elves being ignored because we all mis-understood who the elves truly worshipped, and actually despite the slavery and murder and general black heartedness they are actually decent fellows

Excellent, dark and perilous roleplaying is alive and kicking once again. I have a horrible feeling that we might be going down the 3rd ed(?) route with all the dice and cardstock cut out nonsense. I hope that C7, if they have this, go for something in the 1st or 2nd ed vein. Enemy Within or Storm of Chaos makes no odds to me. Both settings have people their strengths and somewhat different feels. Both are brilliant though.

Re: Warhammer FRP coming to C7?
Having fairly recently GM'ed a long running WHFRP2e campaign, using a heavily modified version of The Thousand Thrones, this is indeed truly good news, if it be true. I could not think of a better publishing house than C7 to revive this bleakly beautiful setting!
Re: Warhammer FRP coming to C7?
The dice system itself was actually quite good (I was a GM in a couple of campaigns using 3E). The main culprits were the cards (with 3-4 possible outcome on a single card face depending on your rolls, and then the action cards themselves were 2-sided) and the many-many fiddly bits, trackers, counters, talent cards, wound cards, subsystems and so on. Mechanically the game was brilliant.Halbarad wrote:I have a horrible feeling that we might be going down the 3rd ed(?) route with all the dice and cardstock cut out nonsense.

Indeed. If someone can revive the rpg of Warhammer Fantasy it is the guys of C7. They produce such quality games!
Let's make warhammer great again!

If this is true, this is the best gaming news I've heard in quite a long time!
