Re: The Grey Havens (and Grey Havens' Elves) in Bree supplem
If the Grey Havens is not covered in the Bree sourcebook then I'm guessing that the Shire might be omitted as well; both might be included in a booklet similar to the 34-page Lake-town volume. Even excluding the Shire, a Grey Havens sourcebook could detail the (High?) Elves of the Grey Havens as an Heroic Culture. It might cover the regions of the Grey Havens, Tower Hills, Forlindon and Harlindon. Notable persons would include Círdan (available as a patron) and Galdor; among notable places might be the White Towers, Mithlond, and the harbors of Harlond and Forlond.

I guess the Bree Book will cover Western Eriador just as Rivendell covered Eastern Eriador. I don't think the Grey Havens or Lindon will be covered, as they're not technically part of Eriador. I expect the Shire will be included, as it is part of Eriador.
My evidence is that Bree-folk were included in the Adventurer's Companion, but Elves of the Havens weren't. If they were both going to be in the book I'd expect both would have been included there.
I hope Lindon will be covered eventually, though, especially as Journeys and Maps included rules for travel by ship, yet left big chunks of the coast off the maps!

Yes, my first instinct is that the Shire should be in the Bree sourcebook. I see The Grey Havens as a shorter booklet because there is little that needs detailed examination outside of the Havens and the Tower Hills even though Forlindon and Harlindon comprise a large area of land. Much that I would like to see included (sites such as Mount Dolmed and any potentially surviving remains of Caranthir's fortress at the site of Mount Rerir) is in sources that are not available to Cubicle 7 such as The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales and the volumes of The History of Middle-earth. On the other hand, there is much that could be done with a little imagination and the blessing of licencor Middle-earth Enterprises.
- Noldor ruins (Caranthir's fortress) might still be indicated in the Blue Mountains nearest to Himling.
- The Bay near Himling might be called the Bay of Thargelion (or maybe just the Bay of Forlindon).
- The river running through Forlindon might still be known as the Gelion (though it might need a new name).
- The mountain at the north end of the large forested region in Forlindon (Dolmed) might be identified as a sacred site to the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains.
- The harbors at Forlond and Harlond could be presented in more detail.
- The Noldor might have constructed lighthouses/fortresses at strategic locations along the coast.
- The forests of Lindon could be given names.
The dashed white line is meant to indicate where the Elves still dwelt to the east of the Blue Mountains until the rise of Angmar.
I did my own, home-brewed version of the lands of Lindon and the Grey Havens here, in the House Rules forum. It includes suggested stats for Círdan, Lord of the Grey Havens, and other notable characters; several notable places are written up and there are some new Fellowship Phase Undertakings.

Ok, looking at the Alliance entry, I do not get the impression that this will be more than the city of Bree. For one thing the listed retail price is $29.99. That's as much as Journey's and Map's. Rivendell was $39.99 for comparison, but Erebor was also $29.99.
But the real kicker is the description given. Which I presume is from Cubicle 7.

Okay, the included adventures might make a huge difference concerning the book's over-all content. I will remind you, though, that as relatively slim as was Erebor, it still managed to include a lot of content covering a number of regions east of Erebor and Dale. Even with the addition of three adventures, I think that Bree could easily do the same with regions of Eriador west of Bree-land; but possibly without the Shire, the Tower Hills and/or the Grey Havens. Go back to my last post above to see what I think might be in a separate Grey Havens supplement.

Same thoughts here. If three adventures are included, then the Bree supplement probably will focus simply in Bree-land and its denizens. Note that, acording to Cleggster's Alliance entry, only the Men of Bree are mentioned as new playable culture... this leaves aside the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains from Adventurers' Companion... so it seems very probable that C7 reserves us yet a truly Western Eriador supplement (the Shire + Blue Mountains + the Grey Havens + even Forochel, maybe).Otaku-sempai wrote:Okay, the included adventures might make a huge difference concerning the book's over-all content.
Far better in my opinion, as this increases the chances of getting the Elves of the Grey Havens as a future playable culture in this to-be Western Eriador supplement.

I wish I knew what listing you were talking about. Does Cleggster have access to retailer-exclusive information? The only Alliance entry I've found for Bree is this GTM one:
I agree that the description you've quoted suggests that a future supplement (The Shire?) might separately cover the Shire, Blue Mountains, Grey Havens and adjacent regions. That could include both the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains and the (High?) Elves of the Grey Havens as Heroic Cultures. The latter might even be an Advanced Culture. If associated adventures are included, we could be looking at as many as three more books for Western Eriador--The Shire, The Blue Mountains and The Grey Havens--all formatted along the same lines as Bree.THE ONE RING RPG:

I'm strictly quoting Cleggster (or trying to, at least)... I don't know where did he found the detailed description he provides... I just asumed that he took it from the Alliance entry he refers to in his post...

Ah, to be clear I got that description from the Alliance ordering page. You do need an account with them to see that page, but it's not really secret. I have a few players who want the Adventurers Companion, so I check the games availability regularly. That description is fairly new I might add.
Also as an aside, the listed street date of the Companion is March 22nd.
Again, make of it what you will.
