Is it me or is it all a bit quiet round here?

Do you think Cubicle 7 are up to something (in a good way hopefully), it just all seems to be a bit quiet round here at the mo, unless I am missing something?

No upcoming products of LOTR, new upcoming products very light on the ground.

Do you think some announcement of some description will be coming soon?

Well seeing as C7 appear to have acquired the WHFRPG licence and have a number of other fingers in pies (Lone Wolf, Cthulhu Tales, World War Cthulhu Cold War handouts/US agency players guide are just some that are late/could do with an update) and don't appear to have increased direct hire staff there are some bottlenecks that cannot be avoided (editing, layout, and writing are probably all freelancers who have to be continually monitored) plus in the case of TOR, approval. I'm not surprised to see some slippage in delivery/announcement dates.

Yeah, long time since I heard something about the Oaths of the Riddermark (was that the name for the adventures set in Rohan?).
Beyond that, there are hints about a Bree supplement, and the quiet yet ominous Moria supplement.

There's more than a hint concerning the Bree sourcebook; an advance solicitation has been spotted in Game Trader Magazine. We don't have much in the way of details yet; we do know it's a hardcover and should retail for $29.99 US. I'm guessing that it will be much like the Erebor sourcebook.

It is also known that the Adventurer's Companion has shipped and customers in the UK and Europe have already begun to receive their copies.

I really hope we get Oaths of Riddermark soon so I can use some events there as reference for an ongoing campaign!

Yes, since the PDF of the AC it's been very, very quiet...

Of course we are all patient here, but that is something you can't expect from everbody, especially this is not a good thing for new players (i mean telling them: You have to be patient is not a good way to sell...).

So I just hope, that there wil be some real news (AC in paper is not what i mean with "real news") soon. Since there are never any dates with Cubicle, all kinds of news are the only thing that keeps excitement about new products going.

But the mentioned workload coming from other lines is a two bladed sword: Players of those other lines (or potential players) will always see the good side of this, but players who are playing only one oder two of the older systems, will not be that understanding...

I love ToR, have purchased every book directly from C7 (to support 'em), and will continue to do so. They get Middle-earth, plain and simple. :D

That said, however, I'm very disappointed at the lack of communication. We're already nearly two months into the New Year, and I've looked through their website and unless I'm missing something obvious, they still haven't listed a release schedule (or new release) for 2017. So I don't want to stir things up and have someone say they'll let us know when they have something, but ugh.

For example, I'm really looking forward to the Bree book and they could confirm the rumors and say: "We're releasing Bree in 2017, as well as a book about Gondor" (or something like that). That doesn't limit them to a specific date, heck, it gives them a whole year. Sigh...

OK, vent finished, I feel better. ;)

Well Oaths of the Riddermark is up for preorder on MiniatureMarket. Hopefully it won't be to long.

This is encouraging, thank you! :)

I'm still very disappointed of course, but at least it's something. :(

Apologies that we have indeed been a little quieter than usual of late - we've been doing a bit of "crysalissing" so far in 2017, to hideously mangle a lovely word.

There's loads of progress behind the scenes which we've just not had time to talk about as yet, and there's no slow down in stuff coming out - we've released the LMG for AME, The Black Archive for Doctor Who, sent a book to LWAG backers that is about to go on general release, given the first glimpse of Dungeon Abbey, and tons more has been going on backstage. The Adventurer's Companion and Paternoster Investigations have been arriving with pre-orderers in hard copy, and Cold War and Section 46 Operations Manual have hit stores. Lots happening!

Speaking of which, we've got a lovely new TOR thing to share - swing back about 3pm UK time. And yes, you're all well overdue a 2017 TOR update. Working on it!

In general company terms we have lots of exciting developments to share in the coming days months and weeks. The perception of a shrinking team is an erroneous (but understandable) one: we have two new hires that are well overdue announcement. We've been concentrating on making things rather than announcing things so far this year. That will change as time progresses, and we'll fill you in on loads of juicy stories before too much longer!

See you at 3!
