Really loving armor

I must say the way TOR handles armor is one of my favorite things about the game. Armor isn't necessary to be an effective fighter but it is really nice to have when a piercing blow gets through. There is also a really opportunity cost from fatigue to wear armor.

One of the best implementations of armor in an RPG IMO.

The way armour is implemented in TOR fits well within the overall mechanics. In terms of realism, I personally think Runequest (currently on its sixth edition) offers the best combat rules.

I must admit that I really like the armour implementation as well. Armour adds to fatigue, so too much of it and you become weary quickly. It is a balancing act between the protection of the armour and the freedom of movement.

I always liked how combat runs in Fantasy Hero 1st Ed or 4th Ed.
