Upcoming releases.
Re: Upcoming releases.
Well, HotW wasn't really a supplement, but a series of adventures. But, it was still the only major (imo) release for TOR in 2013.

Re: Upcoming releases.
Beran, HotW is Heart of the Wild and the west of Rhovanion setting book published in hard back, Tales from Wilderland (TfW) is the softbound one with the scenarios in it.

Re: Upcoming releases.
One could get dizzy reading this thread
Here's how I remember the releases...
2011 - Core Rulebooks (includes The Marsh-bell adventure), Words of the Wise (adventure)
2012 - Tales from Wilderland (7 adventures), Expanded Index, Lake-town Sourcebook & Loremaster's Screen
2013 - The Heart of the Wild (sourcebook for Wilderland)
In 2014 we should see...
1. Hobbit Tales (storytelling card game, used for journeys somehow during TOR games)
2. The Darkening of Mirkwood (campaign setting for Wilderland)
3. Rivendell Sourcebook
After that, I don't think we've been promised or told anything. Not even a hint, other than the initial vision for expanding into regions south for the War of the Ring era.

Re: Upcoming releases.
I wonder how far west the Rivendell sourcebook will go?
It seems to me that Rivendell, the western parts of the Misty Mountains, plus maybe the details of the various goblin communities in the Misty Mountains will not make for a weighty tome.
I'd hope for something weighing in at around 160 or maybe even 192 pages to do the game justice in terms of material released. That means extending west and north from Rivendell as the south seems to be the province of the third major release. West and north means Trollshaws, Bree, possibly the Shire, Hollin, Cardolan and Arthedain.
Less people, more adversaries = more fun!

Re: Upcoming releases.
Normally, I would like one book per region. But, given the release pace I would take one book to 3 or 4 regions as long as it contains quality info.

Minor Correction: The Lake-town Sourcebook and Loremaster's Screen were released in 2013, not 2012.jamesrbrown wrote:One could get dizzy reading this threadHere's how I remember the releases...

My guess is that the Rivendell sourebook will go as far West as the Last Bridge (probabably not as far as Weathertop, which I expect to be covered with Bree). It might get as far North as the Ettenmoors; certainly, it should at least cover the Coldfells. To the South, the book should cover the area known as the Angle and also Hollin Ridge. It might even include all of Eregion.Hermes Serpent wrote:I wonder how far west the Rivendell sourcebook will go?

I think you meant to say TfW. And I disagree. That book have many new stuff from monsters, spells to fellowship phase activities. Not just adventures. It is a supplement.Beran wrote:Well, HotW wasn't really a supplement, but a series of adventures. But, it was still the only major (imo) release for TOR in 2013.
Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.

Re: Upcoming releases.
I went to GenCon in August 2012 and picked up the Lake-town supplement. I have a signed Loremaster's Screen from Jon Hodgson.Otaku-sempai wrote:Minor Correction: The Lake-town Sourcebook and Loremaster's Screen were released in 2013, not 2012.

Re: Upcoming releases.
While C7 doesn't seem to be cranking out tons of new TOR products, let me just say that I for one appreciate that what they do put out is of such excellent quality.
I'd rather they put out less magnificent stuff than tons of lesser quality material!

Adventure Summaries for my long-running group (currently playing through The Darkening of Mirkwood/Mirkwood Campaign), and the Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: Upcoming releases.
Well, yes, we always seem to get back to this point about their publishing quality over quantity
That said, however, I hope we have some news soon about this year. They haven't updated their release schedule for some time, so any news will be a plus
