I was wondering if we could a sneak peek at the possible upcoming releases (not looking for specific dates here). I was curious to see the direction the line might take after DoMW.

That would be great. Are there any releases planned after Rivendell?

... I don't know if I read it somewhere (perhaps RPGnet) but I think there may be some kind of announcement early in the New Year. Not sure what it will relate to though - take your pick from release dates, timeline of new releases, etc. And I may simply be imagining that I've read it!

I do hope we get a tighter release schedule, this is a popular game as far as I can tell from the amount of people I know that have it and it is a solid licence. There may be need to be made some priorities on C7 focus on this part. I would have liked to see two sourcebooks and one adventure book each year with minor books like Laketown in between.
Especially now that I have decided to stay with this game (almost sold it off, I must have been in a buggered state of fugue or something).
So thrice high cheer for more books here and we will gladly buy them - - considering they are our precious!

With Hobbit Tales coming before the end of January and Darkening close to approval (AFAIK) that's the first quarters releases done. That leaves Rivendell (or whatever it's going to be called) for approval and release in the second or third quarter.
While many fans would love books covering many other areas such as was done by ICE my suspicion is that the limits of the licence held by M-e E and sublicenced to C7 etc., might keep the material published by C7/Sophisticated Games to areas and material revealed in only the Hobbit and LotR.
With that in mind we could see something covering the Shire, Bree and the lands between there and Rhovanion. Similarly we might see Rohan and areas of Gondor that are dealt with in LotR. Material outside these areas would mostly have to be detailed without reference to any of JRRT's work that is not covered by the M-e E licence. So no HoMe, no Silmarillion etc. etc. and with Gareth Hanrahan being snapped up by Pelgrane there's going to be a shorter list of freelancers to call upon for One Ring material.
This licence limitation and the needs of an RPG set in these places for details are at odds and making things up is what was, I believe, one of the things that got the licence pulled from ICE (or was cited as such). C7 aren't going to be doing anything that impacts their ability to publish material set in Middle-earth,
I do see the possibility of a hardbound set, maybe only one volume and minus slipcase (like the German version I think), coming down the pike towards the end of 2014 though to perk up the fans.

If it happens I really think it will be a Kickstarter project.

I for one don't want to see any "made up" stuff being published as "official" (ala MERP). Info covering The Hobbit and LotRs would be quite sufficient; The Shire, Bree Land, Rohan, Gondor, Mordor, etc. Perhaps even some of the Southern principalities of Gondor. Though it would be nice to have the areas east of The Ruhn and the Southron lands detailed as well...but, that is not a necessity in my book.

We can only hope that even within the constraints of their license, they have a vast array of potential supplements. Northern Middle-earth as detailed in The Hobbit & LOTR is filled with possibilities for adventure & sourcebooks (even without The Silmarillion or any of the other books), & I for one hope they keep going with additional publications.
