If the previous round the creature "targeted you", that means the creature attacked you using this ability, isn't it?
GL and FS don't need a round to prepare or something like that. They're declared the same round they're used.
You are absolutely right. The reason for the above statement is this: I want it to be clear that just because an archer had been the target of such an attack last round, the normal rules of Stance still applies. p172 Revised Rules:
Stance: at the start of each round, all players declare
their characters’ stances (Forward, Open, Defensive, or
Rearward). Characters can only take a Rearward stance
if two other characters take Forward, Open or Defensive
stances.
There has been some confusion with regards to if the archer must defeat the creature before he can change into Rearward Stance again. Only if he is Seized is he prevented from changing Stance.
