Don’t be sorry. Actually, I wasn’t really responding to you, but rather to daddystabz, who suggested a new organized hardcover edition.Hawthorn wrote:Sorry if my last post suggested I felt that a "revised edition" was required or anything.
I'm sorry if that came off as overly defensive, I just wanted to make sure my original thought process in asking the question was clear. So that my intent was not misconstrued as something its not.
And just to clarify on my opinion: I’m not opposed a new revised printing in which minor errors are corrected or some rules reworded for clarity. I’m also suggesting that it’s possible to still have a single hardcover book, in which the Adventurer’s Book is the first half and the Loremaster’s Book is the second one. In fact, I have such a hardcover, since my binding fell apart and I had a bookbinder repair it.
Just a re-organizing, maybe even so that there are no longer two books in the core rules, is, in my opinion, a bad idea. Also the addition of other material, like expanded weapons or mass combat rules, would break the page count and the references of other books. Those things could and should be part of another publication or maybe as free PDFs (like the revised Traveling rules, which aren’t supposed to replace the old rules, if I recall correctly. They are just an alternative for those who don’t like the ones in the core books.)
