First Print Run vs Second Print Run

Hi Everybody,
First off, I'd like to apologize if this is a topic that has been brought up before. I'm brand new to these forums and have not got though the backlog of topics yet. I've searched for this topic a bit, but it appears my google-fu is weak.
Anyway to the matter at hand.
I heard from my local Travelling Man rep that the almost the entire first print run of the Core set has sold out. Likewise that Cubicle 7 are at current sorting out the second print run but it might be a while.
In addition, he seemed to be under the impression that the second print run would be a sorta minor "revised edition" with the newer journey rules and revised index (I believe they are the only official changes made to the core rules so far right? The mass combat rules were actually made by a fan, not the developers.) actually placed in the book (as opposed to being pdf downloads).
Is any of this true? Or does he simply have the wrong end of the stick? I trust his info most of the time, he's rarely wrong about this stuff in my experience, but I wanted to make sure.
My main reason for asking is that while I'm currently all booked up for games for the foreseeable future I've had a lot of people recommend The One Ring and want to get my hands on it at some point this year. I'm just wondering if its worth waiting for the second print run to get a more "polished" version of the rules.
Thanks.

We'll have an update on plans for The One Ring this month, so stay tuned!

If there are plans for rule revisions I really hope it's an additional book and not a new version of the boxed set. I literally
just bought the game. (I would love to see the content in "A Collection of Additional Rules Compiled by Richard Harrison" become canon.)

I was just talking to a friend last night about how I would LOVE for there to be a hardback rules revision with improved organization/reference of the rules. I would buy it instantly.

I don’t think it’s the best idea to create a new edition of the core rules. It would screw up the references in other products. And then what about new supplements? Do they use the old or the new editions of the core rules for references? It would fragment the supplements into old and new rules. Not a good idea.
That being said, there’s nothing against some incorporating errata. And it’s also possible to keep the old format (Adventurer’s Guide and Loremaster’s Guide) and still put it into a single hardcover book.
But, whatever you (Cubicle 7/Sophisticated Games) do, if you update the second printing, please give us a PDF with all the updates.

Sorry if my last post suggested I felt that a "revised edition" was required or anything. By which I mean a version with substantial changes or updates or anything of that sort. From everything I have heard the game and system were pretty damn near perfect out of the box with a couple of rough edges. Hardly enough to warrant the idea of a true "revised" edition being necessary for rules clarity.
I was merely "spitballing" (delightful phrase) that if Cubicle 7 did do a second print run (an event I presupposing is going to happen due to hearing about the first print run entirely selling out) that it might they might be including minor errata (the revised Index, some of the official rulings, the "new" phase 5 travel rules). So that there was a more "up-to-date" version (considering including these would at most increase the page count of content by 2/3 pages (not including index size differences) of the core due to the time between the first and second print runs.
At most perhaps the expanded weapons rules and mass combat rules could also be factored in, but I believe those were fan-made and would add a more significant page count alteration. So I'm not sure that's really viable. A pdf only version may be more viable for that sort of alteration and would be cool to see. (as Marko suggested)
Really, once again, not my intent to suggest that a revised edition was wanted or needed, just that I thought minor alterations to a second print run might be an idea that the company had had to keep the book "up-to-date". I was not even suggesting a format change away from the two soft-back book format into a single hardback volume. Once again, everyone I've talked too has had nothing but praise for the box-set format the game was released in.
I'm sorry if that came off as overly defensive, I just wanted to make sure my original thought process in asking the question was clear. So that my intent was not misconstrued as something its not.

Thanks - do you mean Dale though? Head's up but take a look through the link in my signature. Have posted newer versions of it since which I think are better.
