The Darkening of Mirkwood is available now for pre-order: http://shop.cubicle7store.com/epages/es ... ts/CB71005

The Darkening of Mirkwood is now also on sale in PDF format: http://www.rpgnow.com/product/125056/Th ... _id=169435

The Necromancer may have been cast out of Dol Guldur, but a lingering darkness remains over Mirkwood, a shadow that will grow ever longer as the years draw on – unless a fellowship of heroes step forward and hold back the gloom.

The Darkening of Mirkwood is a complete campaign for The One Ring, set in Mirkwood over the course of three decades. It allows you to tell your own epic saga, following your heroes in their quest as the tale of years unfolds before them.

This supplement includes enough adventure material to keep you playing for months or even years, as well as new rules that give your heroes a real stake in what happens to the world around them. Rules for Holdings allow them to carve out their own corner of Middle-earth, whilst new options for the Fellowship Phase and Undertakings to achieve allow them to chart their own path.

Visit the Parliament of Spiders, do battle with the Nazgûl, meddle in the affairs of Wizards and enter the Halls of King Thranduil. Stand firm against the Shadow and maybe the Darkening of Mirkwood can be averted. Falter for even a moment and all that you know and love will be lost.

The Darkening of Mirkwood is a full colour, 144 page hardcover. Written by Gareth Ryder Hanrahan and Francesco Nepitello, with art by Jon Hodgson, Jason Juta and Jordy Lakiere.

The PDF is LOVELY, Jon! It feels like a Hobbitish second Christmas, first Hobbit Tales and now The Darkening of Mirkwood.

C7 - Your amazing! Not only have you come up with incredible game mechanics for The One Ring and it's product line. You given us stunning visual mechanics. The aesthetics inspire and weave wonderfully into our experience of the game. WOW!

@Jon my sincere regards to you and the other artists! We on the forum so often give a lot of credit to Francesco and the other game designers (richly deserved!) for opening up Middle-earth in a whole new way. But you and your team have accomplished just as much in establishing the aesthetic quality of the mechanics! A refreshing alternative visually to the overwhelming presentation in the New Line movies. (Granted I enjoyed the movies as entertainment, but the myth they "tell is not mine to hold" as the road to Fairy I would go...!)

With kindest regards,
Scott

There is some player's map included?
Some hand-out?

I'm asking because my players prefer their maps to be in Italian, so I'm pondering if taking the English PDF and later buy the Italian dead tree... or taking the whole package right now (as LM I'm fine with English material)

Great product. There are many, many sessions of material here. If you're not a loremaster, though, stay away!

I don't see any player handouts though, obviously, I've only had a few minutes to review it. In fact, the only map I can find is definitely NOT for players.

Thanks Mordagnir.

I just ordered mine, and really appreciate the free PDF. Does the email with the code come from RPGNow? I don't want to miss it or panic. ;)
