Another TOR play-by-post game recruiting

Post by Vladimir » Tue May 30, 2017 12:37 am

Hi everyone! I've been lurking the forums for a while, but this is actually my first post.

I and my fellow players are looking for one more to join us for a Play by Post game (PbP) of The One Ring set in Wilderland (current year is 2947 of the Third Age). We are playing through published and fan-made adventures that include those from Tales from Wilderland, Darkening of Mirkwood and others. We have already played through 'Don't Leave the Path' and are currently finishing the fan-made adventure 'Theft of the Moon' (thanks be to Zed, who wrote it!).

Our fellowship consists of Nori, a dwarf of the Lonely Mountain, Idunn, a huntress from Mountain Hall and Gramtyng, an exiled Rider of Rohan. Our resident ranger has been inactive of late (probably she dropped out) and we have just recruited a high elf of Rivendell (character creation in progress). We'd love to have one more! Currently the game is run by a fellow player, but we rotate between adventures for Loremaster duties. Post rate is roughly 1-2 posts/week per participant.

Please let me know here or via PM if you are interested. I am happy to answer your questions and send additional information upon request!

Hi Cheek, thanks for posting interest. We currently have 4 or 5 players, so please let me discuss with the co-GM before giving you more info.

No worries either way. Thanks for the quick reply. If the group is full, at least I have a character rolled up for the next group ;)

Thanks for the interest and the warm welcome everyone!

I hate to do this, but since there's already been some interest, I have to close recruitment for now, to avoid disappointing more prospective players. But I will let you know if recruitment re-opens!

Due to player attrition, I am happy to announce that another spot has opened up in our play-by-post game. The current character roaster is:
1. Gramtyng, an exiled rider of Rohan
2. Nori, dwarf of the lonely mountain
3. Idunn, of the woodmen of mountain-hall
4. Fundor, dwarf of the blue mountains
5. (potentially: a Man or Woman of the Lake to join for the next adventure)

The info in the first post of this thread is still valid. We are still finishing Theft of the Moon (PbP is slow), so this will be for the next adventure, which will be a modified mash-up of 'The Wizard's Man' and 'Folk-Moot at Rhosgobel', customized for the PCs. The adventure will be run by me; because of its customized nature, you can apply even if you played or read through these scenarios before (as long as you can seperate IC and OOC information).

I personally prefer characters from Wilderland, but I can be flexible and accomodating. Character selection will not be first-come, first-serve, but if you are interested PM me and we can talk :)

I'd be up for it. I was tinkering with the online character generator this weekend and I have a Hobbit of The Shire ready to go.
