If Ruins of the North is sold out through Cubicle 7 and you want the PDF for free, I suggest you see if you can acquire the book through a retailer participating in the Bits & Mortar program.

In the early 20th century, there was a fad among the rich of building ruins on one's estate to give the place a veneer of history. So your joke is not entirely without precedent...
