So this may help as well. A while back I asked Gareth about Mogdred's symbol from DoM, for example, on page 37:
If Mogdred is an enemy of the Woodmen, then the attackers are warriors bearing the symbol of Amon Bauglir, the Tyrant’s Hill.
Here's what he said:
"I can't recall if I had a specific symbol in mind, but I think a stylised axe might make sense. It's got connotations of strength & violence, of clearing the forest, but also has a personal significance for Mogdred as he's the secret son of Ingomer Axebreaker."
