Dammit, just when I was getting all the "Planning for/packing for/going to Conception" Facebook status updates from my friends, I read this as well! *Sulks because she's missing it for the second year in a row.*

What I look forward to (and/or hope for) in Rivendell:
  • - The hinted-at information on artifacts
    - C7's usual in-depth treatment of local persona and politics
    - Jon's artwork to bring Imladris to life...can't wait to see his conception of it*
    - New cultures/backgrounds, with all new rewards/virtues
    - Fellowship phase undertakings
    - Monsters of the troll shaws
    - Maybe some new weapons?
*Idea for future supplement: Big Book of Art. I'd love to have a collection of Jon's art, of random places and people, to share with players during adventures.

You can already see Jon's Rivendell on his deviantart page:

I asked for an art book a while back, and if I'm not mistaken, their license does not allow them to do it :(

Well I hope it's not a revised hardcover rules... especially as I've just forked out for the dead tree copy of the core rules.

Thank you for reducing stock levels so that C7 can print an all-in-one hardcover ;)

One idea that could work to speed up the release process would be to create more smaller supplements, such as the one about Laketown. They require less work, and could perhaps pass the review faster. I'm sure this has come up before, but I can think of several that could easily fit into the current setting, for example Dale, Erebor, Iron Hills, Moria, Lorien etc.

I suspect Rivendell will be a smaller supplement, as it describes a smaller area that's not overly populated, even if they include Hollin and the Trollshaws.

It's good to have frequente releases, but on the other hand, I like having a complete region at once, because it allows me to introduce important NPCs earlier, and include foreshadowing in my campains.
