Still on target for an announcement soon?
Are we still on target to get an announcement on the future of the TOR line here in the next couple of days or so?

And that is why I asked.

Given that much of the C7 team will be at Conception from Thursday on there's even less unless Jon is staying home in Scotland and posting from there.
Again, reading between the lines, I know that the team were all in Oxford late last week (see the C7 Darkening campaign thread) so I suspect that they may have been formalising such an announcement at the end of last week for dissemination this week.
YMMV.

Re: Still on target for an announcement soon?
There has arisen a possibility of a delay in being able to communicate our plans. I'm hopeful we'll overcome it and make an announcement before the end of January. But there is a chance we could slip into February.
That said, a delay in announcement won't affect our plans - just exactly when we can communicate them to you all.

As long as said plans involve at least three more supplements in 2014, we probably won't mind a slight delay in the announcement.
Re: Still on target for an announcement soon?
Given that DoW in paper comes out in April., I would say 3 releases for 2014 tops, counting DoW as one of them, but not Hobbit Tales. Being optimistic here.

Hi guys, just another fan of TOR. I was lookin' for a good (best) LotR RPG, i've read about TOR and seems i've been finally found rpg of my dreams, can't wait playin' with my group (3 friends coming from DnD)
Now, i've finally decided to buy my core set and begin to play but i've read about this announcement and i'm a bit unsettled to buy immediately my books (i want it all and i want it now! ) or wait for announcement (maybe a reprint or something?)
Hope have news asap, cause waitin wears me out
gg everyone

I would be shocked if the announcement were anything other than even more delicious supplements. But if you want to wait a few days it probably won't hurt you.Artyus wrote:Hi guys, just another fan of TOR. I'm also a new TOR player; I have gotten a lot of valuable information from digging through these forums. There are some big differences between TOR and D&D -- not just mechanics but play style -- and some of the discussions help illuminate those differences.

Re: Still on target for an announcement soon?
The other possible announcement that would not stun me is a reprint of the core game, possibly single volume, possibly hard cover, possibly with errata and updates to the rules included, possibly just a straight reprint. Of course this would only be expected to happen if the present print run is close to sold out, I have no idea if it is or not. Just blue skying here.
But I do hope for more supplements, Rivendell is almost a given, but what after that? Do we start to move beyond Wilderland?
Or are they announcing that they will come play TOR with you if you cough up plane fare? I would almost do this if it meant I could get a painting lesson from Jon too.
