Same here...I'm definitely up for Darkening of Mirkwood. Got several character concepts in mind.MrHemlocks wrote:Sure, if you want to run it I will join. I am sure others will likewise wish to play once the word gets outElfhelm wrote:Darkening of Mirkwood is already out on pdf, so if you guys are still interested I'm willing to try this out. It would be great with one more player I think, but perhaps we can manage with only two?

Re: Looking for (online) Group!
Seems like I'll be trying the campaign as a player first. I'll hold off a while and check back in a month or so.
Re: Looking for (online) Group!
I have been trying to find some interest in an online group for some time and have not had much luck - until I saw this thread
Is this group playing online regularly?
I did some testing of roll20.net and I think that may work well for TOR online because you don't really need miniatures as combat is handled by stance. With roll20.net you have an avatar that can be dropped and dragged around the screen, so I think representing overland travel and using a stance battle-mat would be fine. The rest can be handled via instant messenger.
Anyway ... I'd love to play online, live in the US Mountain Time Zone (UTC -7/-6). I have not played TOR but have DM'd many campaigns for many years; so I would be willing to either play or be Loremaster.

@joelsanda: I'm interested in a roll20 game if we can get one together. Most of the folks around here are more interested in PbP games. I have lots of experience gming TOR but I really want to be a PC. I might be able to dig up some more folks if we can get the basis of a group here. I've never used roll20 but it seems pretty straight forward.

I'm in Colorado - that shouldn't be an issue. I have not run a TOR game, but have been working on some Loremaster resources to run an online game and I think it's pretty doable. I wonder if we can scare up another two - three people who are interested in playing?

I'm in Colorado, too. I just joined a game with a UK group, and I probably can't commit to another campaign without pissing off my wife, but sorely tempted...joelsanda wrote:@quillofnumenor

Ah man ... that's a bummer! Well, maybe if we don't play too often? I'm thinking twice a week, though maybe schedules will permit more/less. Think about it ... think of the terrible interweb latency from here to EnglandElfcrusher wrote: I'm in Colorado, too. I play in a Glorantha game every other Sunday and in general I've not noticed that the players in Florida and Illinoishave any real issues (GM and me in the UK four or five others in the US). Mind you we play with Google+ with Roll20 running inside the app so the lag may be less than running just Roll20 as we are just using the die roller.
Some TOR Information on my G+ Drive.

Was recruiting for roll20, but we've found people.
SORRY TO ALL RECRUITING IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE TIME BEING.
WE HAVE A LIST OF 12 POTENTIAL PLAYERS ON ROLL20.
