Looking for (online) Group!
Hello. I'm interested in joining a TOR group for online play. I run the game for my local gaming group and am deeply in love with it, but being the Tolkien expert I am, I will always be the GM at my table. I'd like the chance to be a player!
My schedule is very flexible and I can use whatever software is required. I'm a major Tolkien geek and have over a decade of RPG experience. If you've got an online game going with room for another player, give me a jingle.

Yep! Same here...love to find an online gaming group. Have the books but not read them in over a year. Was thinking about reading them again and starting to play, using my Call of Cthulhu and Dungeon Crawl Classic group, as a springboard.
I always loved The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Ever since reading the books, back in the late 70s, I dreamed of myself being in them and having all sorts of adventures. Heck, Tolkien's book started my gaming experiance
So, yes...count me in as looking for a group also.

Well, that makes us three then. I’m also an experienced role-player going back about 20 years, but since I got my second kid its more difficult to find time and people to sit down and play with. Have only played TOR once, but I am quite familiar with the rules.
Perhaps we should join forces? I’m based in Sweden, but maybe that wont be a huge problem. I could host if no one else is prepared to do that, although I prefer to be a player instead.
You guys have already played the adventures produced by Cubicle? If I was to be LM using those games would save me some time. What do you think?

Re: Looking for (online) Group!
I definitely have no interest in GMing, as I already GM the game for my local group. This exercise is to give me a chance to be a player in my favorite setting. Unfortunately, I have run the adventures published by C7, including the one in the GM's book, as well as 4 out of the 6 in Tales from Wilderland (and have read them all). Perhaps we should wait until Darkening of Mirkwood comes out?

I have not read nor played any of the adventures. So, I am up for any of them)
Re: Looking for (online) Group!
Darkening of Mirkwood is already out on pdf, so if you guys are still interested I'm willing to try this out. It would be great with one more player I think, but perhaps we can manage with only two?
Re: Looking for (online) Group!
I could accommodate another player in my campaign. I'm running on Fantasy Grounds using the text chat. The game is Friday 8pm to 11pm UK time. The PCs are currently in Thranduil's Halls. It's set in 2989 TA.

I would definitely be interested in that. However, I'm offline until end of February for vacation, but if thats not a problem I would gladly try it out.

Sure. We can see where the company is, and fit you in at that point.Elfhelm wrote:I would definitely be interested in that. However, I'm offline until end of February for vacation, but if thats not a problem I would gladly try it out.

Sure, if you want to run it I will join. I am sure others will likewise wish to play once the word gets outElfhelm wrote:Darkening of Mirkwood is already out on pdf, so if you guys are still interested I'm willing to try this out.
