Ones anyone know of a ready source for these? I am looking for something to place on the battle mat etc, but don't need the weight and painting of metal figures.

The original MERP box had a nice set of paper folds. I still have it but I suppose it would be hard to come by nowadays.

Here are some examples. Look near the bottom of the page for "Customers who bought this title also purchased".

Looks like they have everything you'd need - elves, dwarves, monsters, etc.

Paizo do a great range as well but the style of the art may not fit in with TOR. I'm guessing that isn't a massive issue though...

What you might try is getting a 1 inch/25mm paper punch. Scale any picture you like so it fits the punch size and clip out the circle. Get some wooden discs from a craft store and paste the paper circles to the wooden discs. Voila instant pawn.

Medieval/renaissance markets tend to have stalls where you can acquire bone or wood markers with engraved or burned runes and the like. Tjhose might fit your needs if you prefer non-humanoid markers

Thanks for. The links and suggestions. None were exactly what I was looking for, but some are very close.

I also picked up a 1" round punch, just the ticket for making my own tokens.

I've actually made tokens ... I went through the pdf version of the books I own, and cropped out character images, and then put them through TokenTool.

Here's a link to the dropbox file. I'm a little unclear as to whether this is allowed ... It's official art and it's not my art, but it's from pdf books I bought. Anyway if it's not okay, I'll edit this post and take out the link.

You'll want to print and cut them out, and possibly glue them to circular wooden pieces, which you can find at craft stores. Or you could just print them on really thick card stock, cut 'em out and use as is.

Hope you enjoy it Dave, and anyone else looking for tokens.

Note: No spider tokens are included. One of my friends I play with is severely arachnophobic.

I think these are awesome. Kudos for spending the time on them, Dylan!

Ha! I have some spider miniatures. I *really* struggle to pick them up. When I open the box with them in I'm aware that I have to compose myself and take a breath beforehand. Silly really. What is it about such tiny creatures that make so many people so irrationally scared - I hate the scurrying little things... It's like they've been ripped out of, and given life by, my darkest nightmares. *shudder*

I've never understood arachnophobia. My wife has it. I rather like spiders, and have no trouble touching them or letting them be. She wants me to "KILL IT! KILL IT!"

I tend to dislike insects; I find earwigs particularly icky. I'm not afraid of them though. I kill the insects, but not the spiders.
