Did we ever get an official ruling on this Fellowship Focus "harmed" stuff?

Funny, I interpreted harmed as wounded, also. So much so that I remembered it written as 'wounded' and just no looked it up and was surprised that it did, indeed, say "harmed".

However, I would still interpret that to mean either wounded or harmed in another tangible way, such as poisoned.

I think that in another discussion it was observed that if you choose a melee fighter as your focus you can use the Protect Companion task freely to protect him, since you would get the Hope back immediately.

If the player can use his metaknowledge to determine that his fellowship focus will be all right after a good rest, the focus is not "harmed." :D

I can hardly believe that after all this time the game has been out we do not have an official clarification on this. Harm means what, exactly in terms of recovering Hope?

There is post by Francesco making a 'I intended' statement and suggesting he would come up with something more concrete for an official revision.

This is from the old forum:
Francesco wrote:With 'otherwise be harmed' I meant anything that gave a fellowship focus a hard time during the last session of play. It can be anything from getting beaten badly during combat (losing a lot of Endurance while not inflicting a lot of damage in return) or ending up being miserable or even weary. But I understand that this is a little too hazy, so I'll try (with your help?) to come up with some stricter guidelines.

Did he came up with stricter guidelines in the end?

A condition change then. Losing enough endurance to make the character weary.

Using Ultimate Fantasy Grounds - that means anyone can play.
