So I know a few people on here have expressed interest in campaigns set outside of the current TOR time period, and I came across this adventure today that such folks might find interest, or anybody else might for that matter.
I'm not entirely sure I agree with the premise, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Has always been my favorite 4th age campaign.

I found this a quite interesting idea already back then in Other Hands. Therefore I alluded to it in Other Minds, Issue 9 in my article The Heirs of Elessar and the Fourth Age. Here I took the liberty of bringing it up a bit forward in the Fourth Age and link it to Tolkien's abandoned fragment The New Shadow. Accordingly, in this version Aelindur is the mastermind behind the orc-cult that is mentioned in the fragment.
Cheers

Beleg: I really like this story line as well, thank you for posting it.
Elfcrusher: Yes, it gives me the shivers as well.
Tolwen: Linking it to Tolkien's fragment is a great idea & I'm going to consider doing that.
You see, some years ago I wrote a story line involving the Witch-queen - sort of a counterpart to the Witch-king. Well, now I've read this similar story & all I can add is great minds & all that

I always struggled with post War of the Ring campaign ideas, as they always seemed to lack the grandeur of the Tolkien stories I was trying to emulate. I do like the "state of the world" ideas, it's a good setup, and Sauron's Daughter has a wonderful ring to it, but her machinations while sly and clever and probably quite effective, lack that grandiose aspect that I loved in the stories. How could that be added to the setup?
