The fun part for my group was that there was a new player character in the group, so everybody saw a given NPC in the web, but he saw someone else (since he didn't know the main NPC that everybody saw). That way, very quickly the players realised that something was off, but had to roleplay being under the illusion anyway.Dunkelbrink wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 7:51 pmFor those of you who have run the adventure, how did the fight turn out?
Also, one of my PC was poisonned by Tyulquin in the battle and thus had to play his hobbit with all his shadow weaknesses activated. It was lots of fun! They had to deal with a "teenager" for a while at the table, until they found something to heal him.
That's the way it happened. That being said, I'm not so much a "rule" Loremaster, so I didn't really played by all the rules discussed above. I juste "ruled" that someone got poisonned by Tyulquin, because it was interresting from a story perspective. I wanted it to happen, so it did. I have to say, the "called shot" rules are a little bit tricky for me to use at the table, so I don't worry to much about them (I play fast and loose with them)...
