SM's TOR Campaign Diary

My group wrapped up the latest chapter in our Shadowrun campaign on Friday night and had enough time left over to get the prep work done for my TOR campaign. We genned up the last two characters and sorted out the details of how everyone got to Esgaroth and formed a company. I'm going to start with The Marsh-Bell and then move onto the adventures from Tales From Wilderland. Hopefully, I'll have The Darkening of Mirkwood soon so I can use that too.
Without further ado, I shall introduce the (currently unnamed) company.
Khim, son of Mim is a veteran Dwarven warrior who has recently made the long trek from the Blue Mountains to Erebor with a group of his kin. His thirst for knowledge has driven him to seek adventure rather than remain at the Lonely Mountain. He has heard that Gloin is looking for adventurers and has assembled a company in the hope of taking up his task.
Lily Cotton is a cheerful Hobbit who likes nothing more than cooking up a meal for her friends. Wanting to see the world, she hired on as a cook with a travelling band of Dwarves. Unsure of what to do when they reached their destination of Lake-Town, she was all set to head back home when her good friend Khim asked her to join him on an adventure.
A butcher by trade, the Hobbit Chipper Tomlinson has always dreamt of winning renown and riches as a great warrior, like his great-great-grandfather. When the chance came to travel across Wilderland with his friend Lily and a band of Dwarves, he grabbed his ancestor's old mail shirt and went along without a second thought.
A handsome Man of few words, Hemlock the Woodman is a healer of great skill and sometime pupil of Radagast the Brown. Having heard the warnings of the Wizard and seen the signs for himself, he has decided that his talents are needed for more than tending to the hunters of Rhosgobel. Radagast's counsel has led him to Esgaroth, where he and has travelling companions have joined with Khim and the Hobbits.
Thorismund is a long-time friend of Hemlock and a skilled hunter. He bears a grudge against the spiders of Mirkwood, whose poison would have claimed his life, were it not for Hemlock's skill. Small and slight, he makes up for his stature with a quick hand and even quicker mind.
Amalric's greatest passions are stories and the telling of, which is oft a surprise for those who meet the large, gruff Beorning. A shrewd judge of character with great physical presence, he ensures that when he speaks, his words carry weight. Deciding to leave Beorn's lands with two Woodmen who passed through, he aims to tell the tales of his people, while collecting those from distant lands. If he creates a few of his own in the process, so much the better.
The Elven archer Laurenar is something of an enigma. The other companions don't know why she has left the halls of her king, nor why she signed on with them. She is something of a free spirit and is eager to learn what she can of the lands beyond Mirkwood.
