Wow that is super impressive Rich.

I would be tempted to take you up on your invitation, I live relatively close (Derby) but I don't drive...

Good stuff.

I was happy just to get my armies painted in the right colors.
Exactly!

This is the best I could do with some cheap sprays...

Good enough for playing, though. Plus I don't have to touch the miniatures as if they were nitroglicerine out of fear of damaging them :D .

Not really any different to playing with nice painted miniatures for an RPG. ;)

Just loading up some more pics...

How do you represent Far Harad as a single fortress? It's a vast region that probably encompasses many different countries and tribal clans. That's like having a single mini represent all of Eriador. Are you sure that shouldn't have been labeled the Havens of Umbar?

It's a boardgame; it makes it playable and the [Far Harad] fortification easily identifiable as such a strategic point. The tent camps I looked at as alternatives weren't any good, which is what I was initially trying to source.

Google says about 20 hours of travel time and a shade under a $1000 if I'm willing ignore petty things like no checked bags and a 4.5 hour coach ride from London to Sheffield, and all my responsibilities. Hmmmmm....
That invitation still stands, Jacob. I'm hoping to get Jon playing this if/when he visits. :)
