Surprise for TOR
So on the post talking about Essen Spiel tucked away at the bottom was this little tidbit:
"We’ll also be announcing something else very special indeed for The One Ring and Adventures in Middle-earth."
So what do you guys think? Preorders for Oaths and Laughter? Moria and Lorien sourcebook?! Playable Balrogs?!? Unleash the insane theories!

New playable cultures: Wose, Black Numenorean, Istari. Lesser Istari, of course.

Keep an eye on future issues of the Hall of Fire webzine for something possibly relating to at least one of those!Glorelendil wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 1:16 pmNew playable cultures: Wose, Black Numenorean, Istari. Lesser Istari, of course.

Re: Surprise for TOR
I know you're at least half joking, but:
Sling
Quarterstaff
Warhammer
It costs 2 Experience points to gain a Rank of 1 in a new weapon. If the weapon is not normally available to that Hero then the Loremaster's approval must first be gained. The Loremaster might then require that the Hero take an undertaking during that Fellowship phase in order to gain proficiency and might have other prerequisites that must be met (such as having a trainer).

Wouldn't want to spoil the creative fervour but four days ago on the FB page was this:
"TOR fans, we'll have some exciting Oaths of the Riddermark news soon too!"

Re: Surprise for TOR
To classify as ”very special” it has to be something beyond the normal announcement. My vote is for the Moria campaign for both systems - nothing else comes close and it has been hinted several times before.

I'm inclined to think Wose is the most likely of those, and that's good because I'd particularly like to see that.Otaku-sempai wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 3:12 pmKeep an eye on future issues of the Hall of Fire webzine for something possibly relating to at least one of those!Glorelendil wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 1:16 pmNew playable cultures: Wose, Black Numenorean, Istari. Re: Surprise for TOR
You would be correct! I submitted an article to HOF for the optional Heroic Culture: Wild Men of Enedwaith, based on the indications in Tolkien's Unfinished Tales that the Wild Men were kin to the Woses of the Druadan Forest.HunterGreen wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 2:15 amI'm inclined to think Wose is the most likely of those, and that's good because I'd particularly like to see that.
