Middle Earth Project- Resource item

Hello
During my years GM'ing MERP I wrote a few simple utility programs to help speed through the process of generating various things. I could click through the tables I needed instead of flipping pages.

I used the tables in MERP including all the little intricacies (you know what I mean if you ever played MERP) so they were 100% by the book.

I also created a few random area generators that are useful for TOR to generate ideas. They create a simple text file output in the folder the program is kept in. At the end of this post I show some examples of how handy they are.

Eventually I amassed all the code into one menu driven tool I called The Middle Earth Project.
The program is small, less than 1meg, does not need to be installed just unzip it into it's own folder, and is stand alone and needs no external support files, all the data is coded in.
For Windows OS of any flavor, though not tested on Win8. No support, unless its a question or two, I mean... wadda yawant ferfree!?!

I am sharing this effort. The link for it is at the end of this Post.
Here are some tools that can be useful for TOR;

RANDOM ELEMENTS:
WEATHER- Based on the MERP tables. Generates a day's worth of Middle Earth weather, choose the Month, Moisture level and Zone

AREA CREATION:
*MORIA- A feature creator base on ICE's MORIA #(2011) publication p.150.
Creates either single, display-only features, or a complex of text file descriptions for Avenues and Access-ways, for both City and Mine features. Real handy for that long delve into Moria!!

My Creations-- Handy for an exploration of natural caves or waterways
*Single Dry Tunnel- generates a notepad text description
*Single Waterway- generates a notepad text description
*Cave Complex- generates a notepad text combination based on the number of "rooms" you input

* TERRAIN- Generates descriptions based on Terrain, Natural features such as flora, waterways, fauna and wild game, and artificial features. Handy for travel in the Wilderlands.
I use it as an idea generator... here is an example of it's output

MyTerrain 1
--------------------
PLAINS-
Rolling Pastures
Mellow Clay

Flora- Brambles
Fauna- Coyote
Wild Game- 1 Goose
Path/Road- Lane
Dwelling- Aerie
Woods- Close Thickets
Trees- Beeches
--------------------

From the above I can assemble a description like this...
You are traveling through a thicket of woods along a country lane lined with brambles. The ground is soft mellow clay and leaves footprints that even a dwarf could follow. Suddenly, from the bramble you hear a goose honking with terror obviously feigning injury, and it comes crashing through the brambles. Hot on its heels is an old dastardly coyote. It is obvious the female goose is trying to lead the hungry coyote away from her nest. (aerie)
She waddles quickly towards you with wings flapping awkwardly honking.. "Help!! Help!!" Perhaps she is injured after all...

And finally, here is a sample output from the Cave Complex generator... I input 3 rooms, mixed dry and wet, and it generated 2 dry sections and a waterway.

Thank you! Looks like you put a lot of work in this.

Speaking of Middle-earth weather, you may find this interesting.

Thanks! I hope you find it useful.

I occasionally give thought to writing a similar tool for TOR.
Its just my time is so limited these days.

Thanks for the link, that's a very scientific site!

Here is something a little entertaining...

Hey you don't happen to have that generator for weather still?
