Shield Bash Special Ability
I'd like to give some enemies the ability to Shield Bash as a secondary attack. What might that look like stat wise? I would guess very hard to do wounds, but decent endurance and potential to knock you down.
Re: Shield Bash Special Ability
You could make it similar to the lake men's virtue.
Perhaps have it activate like that, or require hate to be spent by the enemy. "The enemy is practiced in the arts of using a shield as a weapon. If the enemy rolls a great or extraordinary success they may spend a hate point to deal damage equal to a roll of a success die."If you are fighting using a shield of any type, when you successfully hit an enemy roll the Feat die again: on a roll of 8+ you inflict an additional loss of Endurance equal to your Damage rating plus the Encumbrance value of the shield you are using (1 for Buckler, 3 for Shield, 5 for Great Shield).
Re: Shield Bash Special Ability
I guess I forgot to mention that the enemy needs to be holding a one handed weapon, and shield. But that is pretty obvious. Hope it gave you an idea.

Some other ideas:
If the creature is using a shield of any type, when its main form of attack has just successfully hit, reduce its Hate point score by 1 point to inflict an additional loss of Endurance equal to the Encumbrance value of the shield it is using (1 for Buckler, 3 for Shield, 5 for Great Shield).
Or
If the creature is using a shield of any type, when its main form of attack has just successfully hit, reduce its Hate point score by 1 point to immediately roll a second attack on the same target using the creature’s shield. The shield uses the same attack score as the creature's primary weapon and its damage is equal to 2+ the Encumbrance value of the shield it is using (3 for Buckler, 5 for Shield, 7 for Great Shield).
Or
You could change the circumstances from "when its main form of attack has just successfully hit" to "when it has been hit" or "when its main form of attack has just missed"
Or
You could give the creature secondary attack of "Shield" and give the creature the Savage Assault ability?

I think that fits the design and intent of the game the most.Arthur Fisher wrote:You could give the creature secondary attack of "Shield" and give the creature the Savage Assault ability?
