Bree typo

Post by Elroval » Fri Jan 19, 2018 9:57 am

I recently recieved my PDF of Bree, and have been thoroughly enjoying reading through it. Fantastic work - very evocative, and captures exactly the right tone in my opinion. I'm about to start running the campaign, and needless to say I'm very excited!

I just wanted to mention a typo I noticed. On page 26, there is a quote from the Fellowship of the Ring which reads "Above the arch there was a lamp, and beneath it swung a large sideboard..."
It should be signboard.

Anyway, keep up the great work! (I'm now keeping my fingers crossed for a Shire book to weave into this. ;))

Good catch!

No signs yet of a book for the Shire. For the time being, if you can't wait then you may have to rely on fan-material (I have an unofficial guide to the Shire in the House Rules forum) and old MERP (and Decipher?) supplements.
"Far, far below the deepest delvings of the Dwarves, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Sauron knows them not. They are older than he."

Thanks for the link to your Shire guide, Otaku - very nicely done! That will definitely be very useful, if my group does decide to head out that way.

Funny, I hadn't thought of the MERP supplements for the Shire, although I recently checked out the Bree one. I used to run MERP when I was in my teens, and had several of the supplements, but not any covering the Shire. Might see if I can locate one somewhere.

Cheers!

The MERP supplement for The Shire is commanding some pretty high prices. The best price that I can find it for is $50 (US?) on ebay.

As with you, that is one of the MERP products that I have never owned.

Thanks for looking!

That ebay item is a bit too pricey though, especially with the 20$ shipping. It does seem that people are charging quite a bit for those modules. Ah well.

For such a massive tome, it wasn't particularly great; you haven't missed much.

I've been selling all my MERP stuff over the last few months and have made a lot of money. I think I sold my copy of the Shire for well over £100, although it was in immaculate condition. Don't ask me what my MINT copy of Ardor went for! Crazy money.

I would never sell my complete collection of MERP.
How much did you say? :?

It's a lot easier than you think when you really sit down and work out how many times in the last year that you've picked up even one of the books! Realised they were just taking up shelf space. I also have PDFs of them all aswell so if I ever want to refer to something in them I can.
