Nah, 'course not; stop being silly! I was just adding clarity and also a bit paranoid that sometimes my comments come off as "this is how the rules work" and so I was trying to avoid that mistake here, I obviously fumbled though and laboured the "do what you want" approach too much!

Regarding these kind of undertakings... On the old forum there was a lot of debate regarding this, and particularly with Patrons, and whether they were at individual or group level. I think we all, sort of, agreed that they were both group level undertakings and also agreed that this could be restrictive for some groups.

In the revised rulebook I'd like to see a lot of clarifications for rules but also Loremaster Commentary boxes that offered different approaches or insights into why a rule was designed in such a way. I'm not sure if the guys at C7 are looking at anything along those lines but I think it'd be really helpful and give us all the confidence to tweak elements to our liking. I appreciate we all can do that anyway and it's an unwritten rule for RPGs but I still think it'd be a nice addition.

Yes. LoreMaster commentary boxes would be great. I agree with you that Patrons and Sanctuaries are probably both meant to function at the group level, but it would be nice to understand more clearly the designers' thinking about this.

The revised edition gives a chance to address some of this beyond just being a reprint.

Francesco's blog would have been the ideal place for the designers commentary but that seems to be stuck at one post a year for some time.

I certainly hope so too. There is a lot that needs to be expanded upon for further clarification. Some more examples would be great too.

I wish Francesco would use his blog to clarify confusion with the rules and things of that nature as well.
