Rangers of the North
Rangers of the North
In the unofficial culture for the Rangers that are on this forum what are the primary and secondary languages available to them?
Re: Rangers of the North
It's in the PDF, mate:
LANGUAGES
Dúnedain generally speak the Common Speech
(Westron). They also still use their native tongue
Adûnaic when conversing with their own kind and
some even know a little Sindarin or Quenya.
... I'm guessing you just missed it or that you have another version? Use this 'un: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/795 ... 0North.pdf

Re: Rangers of the North
Since it seems to have been a standard practice for Lord Elrond to foster the heirs of Dunedain chieftains for at least a while, and the Rangers of the North had close ties to both Rivendell and the Grey Havens, Sindarin should probably have been well-known to most of them. I would say that ALL Dunedain should have known at least some Sindarin and MOST should be fluent in it.

Yup. I have two versions of the Ranger PDF in my files, one has it listed the other doesn't. And of course I only checked one of them.Rich H wrote: ... I'm guessing you just missed it or that you have another version? Use this 'un: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/795 ... 0North.pdf

No problem, fella. Those wore the little elements that I added to Diogo's original work - things like languages and the titles for the different background options.Beran wrote:Yup.
