Pre-ordered on Wedneday. Got the PDF yesterday.
Looking forward to playing it!

Re: The One Ring Roleplaying Game Pre-order Now Open
I've rolled all the revisions into my character-creation and rules-summary documents (4 pages apiece) and updated my custom character sheet, and my group has started using the new rules as of last night's game.
My players were a bit put out about the higher Fatigue gains (and lower rates of Endurance recovery) while travelling, but were pleased with the addition of journey and encounter bonus dice, the ability to doff a helm as a free action, and the improved results (and removal of potential Hope loss!) for Rally Comrades and Intimidate Foe. And they were glad to know they couldn't become Miserable with Shadow scores of 0, though it's been quite a while since any PC had a Shadow score of 0. :-)
Luckily, none of them had taken a Virtue or Reward that changed, so that wasn't an issue. I did give them back Advancement Points for favoured Common skill advancements they'd already taken, since those are now cheaper, and they got a couple of extra Experience Points because I determined (with the new guidelines) that I'd stiffed them slightly on end-of-Adventure Phase rewards.
But a painless transition, overall. And it's significantly easier to find rules in the revised PDF: kudos to the folks at C7 who re-organised the text, and to James R. Brown of these very boards for the updated index.

Yes! Mission accomplished. Actually, the index helps me tremendously as well. I often use the search function when reading the pdfs, but having the index sometimes gets me to the right page faster as I don't have to scroll through all the results from the search.trystero wrote:But a painless transition, overall. Hi there...Jon Hodgson wrote:We expect so, but it's entirely out of our hands and firmly in Amazon's.Aashdallar wrote:When will it be available for pre-order through Amazon? Other stores do not ship to Uruguay.
Thanks for this great game!
Well Aashadallar, import from US was the best way to put my hands on THE ONE RING over here in Brazil... maybe you should try miniature market... got everything from there!
Cheers!

Hello
I just pre-ordered moments ago.
From reading posts here, I am assuming that there will be a short wait before I receive the PDF link?

You've ordered it during standard UK working hours so barring other distractions (eg, the C7 guys at a convention, God Game Black going down, etc) then you should get a download quick pretty soon - they are great at getting you sorted as quickly as possible.venger wrote:Hello

Now, take a deep breath before you look at this image. And be sure to read everything I write below.
So we always get a handful of copies of any of our One Ring titles sent ahead for us to check that everything is ok. And that's what I just got through the mail. Proof of existence. And it looks absolutely lovely.
The other copies of the game have embarked on their long sea journey. Stay tuned for more information.

That does indeed look fantastic (in both senses of the word), Jon.
