Buying feat dices

Post by Corvo » Wed Aug 06, 2014 12:30 pm

I think I know the answer, but I'll ask the same, just to be sure.
I'm looking for 4-5 Feat Dices (the not-d12): the only way is to buy multiple full sets (1 feat dice and 6 success dices each)?

Or find someone who's getting out of the game or buy a bunch of copies of Hobbit Tales (they come with 1 Feat die)...

...wait, let me make sure I understand. You say the 'not-d12', so you're looking for more Success Dice? If so, just get a few numerical D6. It doesn't have the Tengwar rune but they're cheap and work just as well.

I've only seen them in boxed packs of the whole set. However as Jon/C7 generously posted a link to the font sometime back you could always print out the numbers and runes on those small sticky discs, put them on blank dice and varnish them to prevent the stickers coming off. Alternatively you could get some blank D12's and write on them in indelible marker.

These options aren't the prettiest but slightly better than plain D12's.

Maybe somebody should post sketchup files so we can 3D print them.

No, he says "not-d12" because feat dice go from 1-10, and have two additional symbols.

Your best bet is to buy some blank dice (e.g., Chessex blank d12) and label them yourself.

I'm meaning the Feat Dice, "that d12 that isn't exactly a d12 but a die with ten numbers ad two runes" :D

Yeah, just buy loads of copies of Hobbit Tales and use the Feat Dice in those. I'm sure C7 won't mind you getting them that way. :)
